China Earthquake

In China there was a massive earthquake that killed about 9,000 people. The schools in China crumbled with 900 students in them, and there was a toxic chemical leak. Some teenagers were buried in the rubble and were trying to get out. As the earthquake hit if the buildings weren’t falling down they were swaying. Maybe if the phones were working properly at first less people would have died. Children are suppose to be safe when they enter school, but who knew that there would be an earthquake in the middle on the school day. “The earthquake also rattled buildings in Beijing, some 930 miles to the north, less than three months before the Chinese capital was expected to be full of hundreds of thousands of foreign visitors for the Summer Olympics.”"Traffic jams, no running water, power outs, everyone sitting in the streets, patients evacuated from hospitals sitting outside and waiting,”

1.Why do you like using Photoshop? It is a fun way to change pictures, and get red eye out.

2. When you look at magazines, do you think differently about yourself? yes, because everyone looks perfect and your not supposed to look that way.

3. What does “perfect” mean to you? the way you are is perfect because god made your that way.

4. What are the pros and cons of using Photoshop? pros – make a picture pretty. cons- changing the way you look.

5. What do you think the societal expectations are for body type and looks based on what we see in magazines? all girls want to be skinny and not fat. The magazines just show people the :” perfect bodies”

7. Do you think that all of these famous people are as perfect as they seem? no, not at all.

8. How does Photoshop alter their features? By making them look slim, and changing there hole appearance.

What can you create with the black and white adjustment layer? —-gray scale conversions and quick color Tints.
What is the “black and white cookie” located at the bottom of the layers palette really called?—–new fill
After you tweak the sliders to create a gray scale image, why is it good to know that you can hide this mask?—-it hides adjustments from bits of the photo& creating a nifty partial color effect.
What can you press on your keyboard to get the brush tool?—–B
In the realm of layer mask, what do they say about painting and revealing?——you can use it to hide the gray scale effect & it will return to it original color.
If we want to hide a bit of the adjustment layer, what color do we paint with?—-black conceals and white reveals.
What happens with the foreground and background color in the tool box when you press X?—–swaps color chips.
What does the adjustment layer look like?—–Half white, half black.
Where is the adjustment layer located?——bottom of the layers palette

1. What is global warming? – massive heating all around the world
2. Why do you think that Al Gore doesn’t want to talk about politics? – he used to be part it and would not want to be part of it anymore.

4. How did Al Gore tailor his presentation to the Evangelical Christians?- What did he add for this audience? he added bible entires for the audience
5. When are global warming commercials coming out? -sometime this week
6. Do you think they will help people realize this issue? -people should definatily work harder to resolve the issure after the commecials.
7. How do you feel about the way the Gore family is paying for this? – it seems right.
8. Why do you think Al Gore’s loss of presidency was beneficial to his new hobby? – more free time to start this all
9. How do you think that other candidates pick themselves up after a losing campaign?- They will and should move on after all of this.

13. What did they do to the house after it became an issue? – they put solar panels on the roof , use less energy.

Actress halle berry ,41 years old had a baby girl sunday. Her first child. The dad is Gabriel Aubry , 32 years old . They met in Los Angeles two years ago. She said that her and Aubry do not plan on getting married but they are committed to each o there. She is not only a mommy in movies she is real mom , with her own baby girl. Berry won the best-actress Oscar for 2001′s “Monster’s Ball.” She also won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for 1999′s “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge.”

bottled water lacks drug safeguards

The U.S. federal standards for acceptable levels of pharmaceutical residue in bottled water are the same as those for tap water.

Some water that’s bottled comes from pristine, often underground rural sources; other brands have a source no more remote than local tap water. Bottlers insist their products are safe and say they generally clean the water with advanced treatments, though not explicitly for pharmaceuticals.

Annual bottled water consumption in the United States has increased about 50 percent, to 30 gallons per person.

sex scandal

Eliot Spitzer in the Democratic Party, his squeaky-clean image as a corruption buster led to his being mentioned as a potential vice-presidential candidate and possibly even a future White House contender.

federal investigators have linked the New York governor to a top-dollar prostitution ring, political advisers are split over whether Spitzer has a political future. There is no way he is getting past this.

He can get charged for his actions , and he is a hypocrite.

Monday Eliot apologized for a personal manner.He did not specifically mention the prostitution sting, nor did he resign.

my point of view is that this is a disgrace, and to not have any political future.

5 killed

5 people killed on Monday in Diyala province, they were killed by two suicide bombings. 18-year-old woman blew herself up about 8 a.m. outside the home of a tribal sheik, killing the sheik, his 5-year-old niece and one of his guards. That was the first attack. The bombing occurred in Kanan, about 12 miles east of Baquba. A little after the suicide bombing blew himself up after security started shooting at him. The second attack happened in Muqdadiya, about 24 miles north of Baquba. A female beggar blew herself up in a central Baghdad electronics store, killing three civilians.
